Lord’s exhortation to His own: Stock up on Grace in advance

[…] God doesn’t create just because He is Creator. He creates because He is Love, and everything He does is lovingly done.

The Author of life deeply loves what He creates, and He does so not for Himself, but for the happiness of the creature.

Man has committed a very great fault, that of not trusting in God and His Commandments. Man has believed in himself, and in this he has been presumptuous. He believed that his qualities exempted him from obedience, and this misfortune is transmitted almost in the genes of human descendants.

Man believes in himself and forgets the Creator. He believes in his knowledge when it is limited, he believes in the outcome of his own works, and he forgets God’s essential part in everything created.

  • Without God, there would be nothing.
  • Without God, man would not exist.
  • Without God, he would have no framework for life, no beauty, no fulfillment.

God is the master builder of all things, but man takes credit for them. The beautiful things in nature are nature’s doing, [man] believes, and the beautiful human achievements in that nature are, he still believes, his own doing.

God will show him that the punishments that come his way can undo weeks and years of hard work in a matter of seconds, minutes or hours.

God alone can stop the flow of time. He is the Master of time, and He can stop it or speed it up, since He Himself is its regulator.

He rarely suspends time, but sometimes does so when He deems this miracle necessary.

So it was that, in a work of mercy, He stopped time so that one of His servants, a priest, could still catch his train when he should have missed it by being late.

Time stopped, and the priest was able to walk the distance to the station.

This little pause in time was observed only by the priest and his driver, with other road users noticing nothing or no surprising symptoms. So, time stopped for one and not for the other.

  • Such are the actions that only God can do and that man can only observe.
  • These are the graces that God bestows on those who pray to Him, on those who place themselves at His service, on those who put all their trust in Him.
  • Do and I will, do and you will be helped; not always by miracles, but by effects that some call ‘chance’.

In this world created by God, chance is ‘Providence working incognito’.

Providence, says the dictionary, is the supreme wisdom with which God guides all things; it is also the convergence of situations to make a state possible. Such is God’s paternal Hand in your daily lives, and those of you who are fervent Catholics have seen this often and are the happy beneficiaries.

I want to tell My fervent and very loving children that I will not leave them alone in the chastisements to come.

  • I will take them under My protection whatever happens to them. They will not be abandoned, but if any harm comes to them, let them be glad, for God will repay them a hundredfold.

I warn them of these coming times, they need not fear them; if this evil befalls them, they will not lack the help I have promised them and which I will bring them:

‘And when you are taken away to be handed over, do not worry about what you will say, but say what will be given to you at the time; for it is not you who will speak, but the Holy Spirit’ (Mk 13:11).

What was foretold to the apostles is for all time.

  • I am Jesus Christ and I want you with Me in the churches and on all occasions of religious fervor.
  • Be generous and join Me on every occasion: masses, visits to the Blessed Sacrament, processions, Holy Hours of prayer and adoration; every opportunity must be taken because the times ahead will be hard and you will need My strength and consolation.
  • Be Mine, I want you totally Mine. I announced to My apostles the Passion and Death of their Master and Lord, and to you, My children of this century, I announce great but salutary difficulties.
  • You will weep, you may be dismayed or defamed, but you will never be ignored by Me. I will comfort you, strengthen you and encourage you. I will need you, your testimony and your steadfastness.”
