1. Premise
Let us assume that the messengers of the end times (of our times or those of the Old Testament) are prophets of doom (as Pope John XXIII said of the shepherds of Fatima), that they are mistaken, that they are right or wrong, that they are false, that they are for or against this or that pope (i.e., Benedict XVI, Francis, or Leo XIV), etc., how can we keep ourselves at a distance from the sandstorm of error, confusion, and disputes that make the devil so happy?
What criteria of discernment are available to us to understand the truth about the state of the Catholic Church, not by excess, not by defect, not by hasty or excessive enthusiasm, demoralization, indifference, coldness, or even denial of the papacy?
Solution: Let us ask for the help of the Holy Spirit through the intercession of His Spouse, the Blessed Virgin Mary, on how to discern and guide us in these times of confusion.

2. Prayer for the gift of discernment
“O Mary, Co-Redemptrix, Protectress of our faith, You are the loving Mother who intercedes for us with Your Divine Son, ask your Heavenly Spouse, the Holy Spirit, Comforter who enlightens and strengthens us, to help us grow in our relationship with God, One and Triune. Grant us the light, wisdom, and grace to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom of God in our time. Amen.
The faithful should take these criteria into account in order to proceed as Jesus did on the boat in the storm.

3. Criterion No.1: Life in a state of grace
If the soul is not in a state of grace, the devil takes control, elevating the unfortunate person to the role of “Useful Idiot” and unconscious collaborator in his action against Christ and His Church. Therefore, it is essential to:
- a) Pray with the heart, not mechanically or hastily.
- b) Pray the Holy Rosary every day.
- c) Monthly confession (when possible).
- d) Eucharist with the proper dispositions.
- e) Obedience to the Ten Commandments.
- f) Fasting (especially bread and water, which keeps demons away from souls, loved ones, and homes).
- g) Reading the Bible.
- h) Avoid persisting in criticism and joining in disputes. It is human to err in judgment because we often judge without complete information, but to persevere in them is diabolical, that is, it plays into the hands of the devil.

4. Criterion No.2: Do not forget the lessons of the past
Excerpts from the messages of the Blessed Virgin of Anguera, Brazil, given to Pedro Regis:
«Love the truth and remain with the Church. The lessons of the past cannot be forgotten. Everything I have announced to you in the past will come to pass. This is the time I announced to you in the past. Kneel in prayer. Decisions for the good of the Church will cause great confusion.
In the lessons of the past, you will find the true path to Heaven. Flee from everything that is contrary to the Gospel and remember that only in the lessons of the past will you find strength for your journey to Heaven. Dogmas will be ignored and the pain will be great for the faithful. Trust in Jesus and listen to the valiant soldiers in cassocks who will remind you of the great lessons of the past. Be careful. Do not forget the lessons of the past. Be careful. Flee from novelties and embrace the lessons of the past.
Whatever happens, do not forget the lessons of the past. Welcome the Gospel of My Jesus and do not stray from the lessons of the past. The darkness of false doctrines will spread everywhere. 5. Criterion No. 2: Remain united
February 20, 2013 – The Blessed Virgin Mary to Luz de María:
«At this moment, more than ever, you, as the People of My Son and as My children, must remain united. The evil legions are rushing upon the People of My Son to destroy them. And what weapon is greater and more powerful than disunity?
So much prayer I have asked of you for My Beloved children! [*]
And in many of them this evil human seed has borne fruit, but not the fruit of My Son, but the fruit that fell on barren ground, and distorting the Word of My Son and, allowing themselves to be invaded by the whims of evil, they darkened the House of My Son, closed the windows so that the Divine Light could not penetrate, closed the doors to plot in secret, and in the darkness they planned the fall of My Son’s Church.

7. Criterion No. 5: Do not give in to modernism and new doctrines
«You, beloved people, children of My Immaculate Heart, do not give in to modernism, do not give in to the new doctrines that they wish to impose on you. The doctrine is one: ‘love God above all things and your neighbor as yourself.’ The Law of Love is unchangeable, unsurpassable, and it entails obedience to My Son».

8. Criterion No. 6: Why are prayer and meditation necessary?
«Prayer is necessary, meditation is necessary so that fear and dread do not invade you and prevent you from reasoning and discerning between what is right and what is wrong. They will lead you to false doctrines, reforms, and modernisms that are not the will of My Son, that are contrary to the Will of My Son. Do not give in, remain faithful to My Son.
You must remain in faith, united with the Divine Will, so that you will not be deceived. Do not join those who come to you with false news of new reforms that are not in accordance with the Love and Fidelity that My Son preached to His People.
My Son is coming in His Second Coming to rescue His faithful. This will happen after the Purification of the whole Church, after the impostor is thrown from the Throne of Peter here on earth».

10. Pope Francis
March 20, 2013 – Our Lord Jesus Christ:
«My beloved ones, do not neglect My calls to prayer for the Institution of My Church and for Pope Francis. He is My son.
Those whom he supported in the past will betray him, and they will be the ones who will bring about the downfall of My Institution and My Mystical Body.
My son, Pope Francis, has proposed good works for My Church, but they will not allow him to move forward; the obstacles will be continuous, and they will demand great changes in everything concerning the Liturgy. The Church remains in turmoil, but it must return to reality.
What does the Institution of My Church do to multiply the loaves and fishes?
In My House, the Vatican, there are [Free-Carpenters] and [the Illuminoids] who have stained its purity with their unbridled desire for power and have brought disorder and immorality into My House. My Vicars have ignored these great and disastrous errors that have once again lacerated My Heart».

12. Is he or is he not a trustworthy pope?
«At this moment, you ask yourselves and feel entitled to know whether Francis is or is not a trustworthy pope… pray, pray… “by his fruits you shall know him». [2]

13. Leo XIV, a trustworthy pope?
Here is one possible explanation: The clergy will become a cause of scandal, and this will determine the good and bad fruits of Leo XIV’s pontificate, even worse than those of Pope Francis, and could culminate, for example, in a schism.
In 1878, St. Vincent Ferrer appeared to Marie Julie Jahenny (a visionary from France) and gave her a message:

Evil does not come from outside but from within, and that evil has already manifested itself.

A schism and something more? Yes, unfortunately. If the modernist drift takes total control of the Catholic Church, the Pope will also suffer the consequences. It is a dangerous game to keep the descendants of Judas (within the hierarchy) and the enemies outside (the descendants of Caiaphas, the free-Carpenters and the Illuminoids) by making small concessions from time to time that erode the foundations of Catholic doctrine. How many changes since Vatican II? Many, and with no possibility of turning back. How much spiritual damage to the souls of the faithful and how many souls lost forever!
The reins with which the current Pope, like his predecessors, holds back the horse that is leaping from Apostasy in the Church, may break, and the river of misfortunes contained in the Third Secret of Fatima, the messages of La Salette, Akita, Japan, to name but a few, will sweep across the whole world through a painful Purification.

15. Leo XIV: Three possible scenarios
Scenario 1: The current pope is forced to make concessions to the descendants of Judas in order to maintain/contain the faltering unity of the Church
Scenario 2: The current pope is a modernist who is trying to buy time before delivering the final blows to the Doctrine and the true Magisterium of the Church, giving the impression of being on the “traditionalist” side of the Church to keep the “conservatives” who do not accept the carnival of Vatican II happy.
Scenario 3: After some initial confusion, like the Apostle Peter, the current pope comes to his senses and defends the Doctrine and the true Magisterium, so the group of the apostol Judas Iscariot’s descendants will go their own way with all the prophecies about the false prophet and the antichrist, and the fierce persecutions of the Mystical Body.

16. Conclusion
In a message from the Blessed Virgin Mary (May 2025, before the new conclave) to a visionary from Germany, Melanie, She warns that “the one who will soon occupy the position of Pope does not work for the ‘right side. He cannot and should not be trusted, even if he appears to be trustworthy. Therefore, it is questionable whether one should continue to seek guidance from the head of the Catholic Church. The new Pope will not be a friend to humanity, but will cleverly hide this fact. He will introduce innovations that are not beneficial”. [3]
Let us hope that this visionary is wrong, but at the same time read one more time criterion n.1 and «beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them» (Matthew 7:15-16). In the meantime, «watch and pray at all times, so that you may have the strength to escape all that is about to happen, and to stand before the Son of Man» (Luke 21:36).
