Who are these human masters who directly serve Mammon, the prince of demons?

“My dear children, I am the Salvation of My children; outside Me they can do nothing.

They can only follow their destructive and degrading master, they can only destroy, in the image of their debasing dictator and master.

The devil is a devastator, he kills and degrades, that’s all he wants, he’s so rotten himself that it’s impossible for him to do or want any good.

The unhappy man who devotes himself to him will be the same: spiteful, vengeful, demolishing, demeaning, and his demonic dependence will give him no satisfaction.

He will want more and more, and he’ll never rest until he is done with what is left standing elsewhere. This is how the rulers of formerly Christian countries have lost all peaceful influence, all desire to spread good around them, and they wall themselves up in their lies and greed. The power of these depraved men is limited, however, and they can be traded at the whim of their masters.

Who are these human masters who themselves depend directly on the prince of demons?

They are the great financiers who have their hands on the finances of the States and dispose of them as they see fit.

These financiers are in the pay of the great Argentier of Hell, the demon Mammon, who in the distant past of his angelic state was in charge of deploying divine Wealth.

For God is infinitely rich, since He is the Provider of all Good, and His Wealth was entrusted to the care of an angelic army whose superior was Mammon.

But Mammon, like Lucifer, wanted to own his state and, like Lucifer whom he followed in his revolt, he was stripped of his office; since then, he has continually tried to appropriate through men everything that doesn’t belong to him. He is covetous, envious, a hoarder, a miser and a cruel thief. He remembers his state as an Angel in the service of God, and with all his might, out of spite and diabolical animosity, he wants to take and take again.

So it is that, under his influence, the very rich, the immensely rich, are not satisfied and want more. They are willing to collude with other very rich people to accumulate more, and as long as they can monopolize more, they will want to and will.

That’s why the biggest fortunes are in the hands of liars and hypocrites, because their respectable appearance is deceptive: they do nothing for nothing, they are neither philanthropists nor generous; money is their goal, their engine and their fuel. Everything for everything, nothing for nothing, is the motto of those who have given their souls to their master Mammon.

The demon Mammon is My very particular enemy because he wants to surpass Me in My state as Master and Lord. He wants to be master of the world through the power of money, because without money man is doomed to death, he can do nothing for himself or his family. He can only die of hunger and thirst.

The trick of the demon Mammon is to give importance to the monetary value of individuals; the richer a man is, the more he must be considered: a little for his competence, more for his numerical value. So goes the world, and the rich rule.

So be humble, My children, and consider evangelical poverty, which is not necessarily material poverty, but wealth of the heart.

In the Gospels, we read that Lazarus [1] was wealthy and came to the aid of Jesus and His apostles. He lost everything when he fled Israel for Provence, where he ended his earthly days. Mary of Magdala, too, lived in Provence at the Sainte Baume [2], in a cold, damp cave, resting her head on the stone to sleep.

Their ancient fortune was transformed into a great spiritual fortune, and their sanctity will remain venerated until the end of the world.

Mammon is the god of money, of any fortune acquired for the love of wealth, and he is damned for eternity.

Cling, My children, to the Wealth of God and imitate the Lord Jesus who, as King of kings and Lord of nations, possessed no earthly wealth. God provided for His apostolate; He needed the bare minimum, and this was granted to Him mainly by the welcome He received as He evangelized the people of the lands He visited. He also lived off fishing, fruit and what the land produced. And when He died on the Cross, His clothes, His only possession, were chosen by lot by those who executed Him.

Such is the fate of the goods of this world: they are left to others when their owners die, and they are of no use to the one who leaves. Let them serve you to become saints, either by using them with true generosity, or by being deprived of them to imitate Jesus Christ, your Master and Lord.

This is Lazarus of Bethany, resurrected by Jesus, brother of Martha and Mary (of Magdala) Magdalene. Sons of Theophilus, known as “the Syrian,” governor-magistrate of the important city of Asia Minor: Antioch (Antakya, Turkey) and of Eucheria a descendant of the Tribe of David. Lazarus and his two sisters were Antiochians by birth.
Mary Magdalene, her brother Lazarus of Bethany and Maximinus (Lazarus’ steward) and some companions, expelled from the Holy Land because of persecution, crossed the Mediterranean Sea in a flimsy boat without rudder or mast and landed at the place called Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, near Arles. Lazarus arrived in Marseille and converted the whole of Provence. Magdalene retired to a cave on a hill near Marseille, La Sainte-Baume (“Holy Cave,” baumo in Provençal), where she devoted herself to a life of prayer and contemplation. The grotto is today a place of Christian pilgrimage.
