The great and beautiful feast of All Saints’ Day is so important that it is still a holiday in France and in Catholic Europe.
It is the apotheosis of Christian, Catholic life, when all the saints are venerated, celebrated and contemplated for their virtues, their courage, their self-sacrifice, their love of God and mankind.
So what has the devil done?
He has usurped this glorious day of God’s saints, turning it into a seemingly childish game of surprises, disturbing disguises and unseemly blackmail in a land that is still Christian.
