DAILY PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

1. Come, Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit, send to us from Heaven a ray of your light. Come, Father of the poor, come, giver of gifts, come, light of hearts. Perfect comforter, sweet guest of the soul, sweetest relief. In toil, rest, in heat, shelter, in weeping comfort. O most blessed light, invade into the depths the hearts of your faithful. Without your strength nothing is in man, nothing is without fault. Wash what is sordid, bathe what is parched, heal what bleeds. Bend that which is stiff, warm that which is icy, straighten that which is astray. Give to your faithful who trust in you alone your Holy Gifts. Give virtue and reward, give holy death, give eternal joy. Amen.

2. Come, Creator Spirit

Come, O Creator Spirit, visit our minds, fill with your grace the hearts you have created. Sweet Comforter, gift of the Father Most High, living water, fire, love, holy chrism of the soul. Finger of God's hand, promised by the Savior, radiate Your Seven Gifts, inspire in us the word. Be light to the intellect, burning flame in the heart; heal our wounds with the balm of your love. Defend us from the enemy, bring us peace as a gift; your invincible guidance preserve us from evil. Light of eternal wisdom, reveal to us the great Mystery of God the Father and the Son united in one Love. Amen.

3. Come, Holy Spirit Paraclete

O Paraclete Spirit, one with the Father and the Son, descend to us benignly into the depths of our hearts. Let voice and mind be attuned in the rhythm of praise, may Your fire unite us into one soul. 0 Light of eternal wisdom, reveal to us the great Mystery of the Triune and One God, source of eternal Love. Amen
