Our Lady: «My children, I am Our Lady of Perpetual Help. I ceaselessly help all my children in all their needs.

Always turn to Me, and you will feel My Motherly help. When I cannot take the cross away from you, at least I will console you and give you strength to move forward.

Penance and Prayer!

Prepare for the Parousia, which is already near. Before my Son Jesus returns, the Earth will become very hot.

The numerous earthquakes that have occurred in recent days —so many in less than 24 hours [1]— are the voice of God telling you that He is not pleased with what you are doing.

Penance, conversion, and change—not merely in behavior, but in character—so that the Lord may truly be pleased with your works.

Continue to pray the Rosary every day!

Have faith in Me—that is, follow me. Obey my messages; imitate My examples of holiness.

In a few days you will celebrate the anniversary of my apparitions in Ezquioga (June 30, 1931) [§2]. Yes, I repeat what I said there: the end of time, the end of the world, has come, and not a single word I spoke in Ezquioga will pass without being fulfilled; all the messages and prophecies will be fulfilled.

Blessed is the one who fulfills everything I said in Ezquioga, for they will stand by my side on the day of my victory and the return of my Son. Yes, what I said in Ezquioga will be fulfilled. A century will pass, and the End Times will come.

Pray the Rosary of Tears [§4] every day. It can save many souls.

2. The Apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ezquioga, Spain (1931–1933)

2.1. Prologue

Beginning on June 30, 1931, and for three years, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to several children on the slope of a hill in Ezquioga—also known as Ezkío—near Zumárraga, Guipúzcoa, Spain. The visionaries of Ezquioga became famous for claiming that the Virgin had told them that a civil war would break out in Spain in a few years (1936–1939) and that the Nationalist side would win that war. But their prophetic messages go even further…

2.2. Summary of the messages

Summary of the Ezquioga messages from the visionary, eleven-year-old Benita Aguirre:

• Three years of famine;
• The rise of the Antichrist’s kingdom;

Benita Aguirre’s messages speak of the end times:

2.3. The Crucifers

Benita Aguirre: «Once the punishments have passed, there will be a single religious order, called the Crucifers… Know that a King (the Great Monarch) will reign with justice, and his magistrates will reign with righteousness».

2.4. One-third of Humanity

The Blessed Virgin: «Pray much, do penance, and make sacrifices. If you do not do this, terrible punishments will come, and one-third of humanity will die. Then few families will remain intact. Everyone will have to mourn. The end of the world is near. When women can no longer be distinguished from men by the way they dress, then know that the end of the world is upon you. The years fly by, and few remember death».

2.5. Communism

Benita Aguirre: «[The Virgin] told me that the communists will soon enter Spain; that they have begun to commit evil deeds, and many, blinded, do not realize that, beyond communism, the Chastisement will come; and that from the Sacred Heart of Jesus flows, day and night, a fountain of graces, which are poured out upon those of us who belong to Him, but let us strive to respond to them, for He will reward us».

2.6. The Churches Will Be Closed

«[Our Lady] affirmed that the churches will soon be closed, with those in Catalonia being the first to be closed, for that will be the place where the greatest atrocities against the Religion will be committed; although there she possesses three treasures in three souls who love her dearly, and who have offered themselves to Jesus as victims; and that, because of these three souls, Catalonia will be punished less than it deserves. She concluded by telling me that we must build within our hearts the weapons with which we will have to defend the Faith».

This shows how the prayers of three souls who love God deeply can spare an entire people from punishment.

2.7. Famine

«[Our Lady] told me that those of us who belong to Jesus should pray that many of those who are on the verge of damnation may be saved, and that our supplications—especially now—will be heard; and that by the time famine comes, almost all (true) Catholics will be outside of Spain, since Jesus wants to save us from most of the punishments through the prayers that have been offered on the Hill of the Apparitions, which have been heard».

2.8. A Great Persecution

«[Our Lady] repeated that, after Jesus’ reign in Spain, a very great persecution will come; and after this persecution, the end of the world. But not everyone will die; rather, God, after the Judgment, will leave many righteous people in the world to glorify Him, living on earth for a thousand years, during which time peace will reign».

2.9. The Antichrist will come

«[Our Lady] added that, after the reign of the Heart of Jesus, the Antichrist will come, who will disturb the peace, and with him the wicked will gain strength; He will not give light to the wicked, but He will give it to the righteous, so that they may recognize the Antichrist; and that those who then wish to serve God will have to separate themselves from their families, friends, and acquaintances, and flee to the deserts».

2.10. The Great Monarch

«[Our Lady] affirmed that God is preparing the Great Monarch, who will have to reign amid humiliations and sacrifices; that the Great Monarch was wicked in his youth, but now does much good and will rule the entire world, which will be compelled to obey and worship the true God. […] She affirmed that the Great Monarch will have another very good companion who will help him spread the Religion… that when we are in the desert, we will meet the Great Monarch… and that as long as he is on the throne, Jesus will reign».

«[Our Lady] repeated to me that there have been many misfortunes, for evil is advancing with the times. Soon those who do not truly love Jesus will be put to shame, since a very great persecution against Catholics will come very soon, and those who do not truly love Him, will deny Him to escape the punishments that will be imposed on those who do not deny Him; that many of those considered spiritual men, when the hour comes to give their lives for Christ, will deny Him, for the devil works hard among them; and that because of the punishments God will send upon us, many will turn against Him».

2.12. They Are Preparing for War

«[Our Lady] told me again that the wicked are preparing for war, but that God will help the good; that many of the good will have to give their lives for Him, and He will reward them; that such a war will be global, and they will not be able to do as they please, since God is above all. […] She told me that waves of infinite tenderness are contained within Jesus, and He wishes to pour them out; yet He finds few hearts willing to receive them, for they are shriveled by selfishness, closed off by pride, withdrawn into themselves, and lacking faith in His love; and for this reason, Jesus will unleash His justice upon mankind, for there are very few hearts that truly love Him».

2.13. There Will Be a Single Religion

«[Our Lady] affirmed that, once the punishments have passed, there will be a single religion called ‘the Crucifers,’ which will save the entire world by preaching the true Faith and winning souls to it. The leader of these Crucifers will be a very holy man, who, after his apostolate, will die crucified at the gates of Bethlehem. In the last days, the whole world will speak one language».

2.14. The signs of the chastisements are now beginning

Our Lady: «The signs of the chastisements are now beginning… we are almost upon them».

2.15. Pray fervently

Our Lord: «Pray fervently. The prayers of My Church are beautiful and profound; but often you recite them only superficially. Through My Church and her prayers, I preach to you and enlighten you. I have prepared the bread for My children, though this does not prevent each one from taking in what is appropriate according to their need. My Heart is great and good. I want to speak to your souls and help you understand how sweet and good I am in My mercy. If you are a sinner, I wait for you, I forgive you, I offer Myself for you, and I say to the Heavenly Father: Forgive him because he did not know You, because he was unaware of how good You are. And you, My most beloved, children of My tenderness: See how charity holds Me captive on the altar. There I offer Myself for you. For you I renew the offering of Calvary, with all the Father’s love… Open your hearts to these waves of infinite tenderness, in which I wish to immerse your souls. Be good, be holy, as I am good and holy».

«The Divine Mother insisted that she wants ‘prayer, much prayer, for prayer is what will save the world.’”

2.17. The punishments will come very soon

Our Lady: «The punishments will come very soon; tell the public so that they may prepare themselves, even though it will do most of them no good».

Our Lady: “Chastisements have begun abroad and also in Spain, though no one realizes it. Prepare yourselves, for famine will soon come».

2.18. Italy, Spain, the “Cruciferos”

Our Lady: «Italy, watered with the blood of so many martyrs, is the slave of a diabolical demagoguery, which has even become an advisor to those in power; and poor Spain, which was conquered inch by inch by the Cross, has become a people of the subjugated, rushing toward the precipice and striving to break with its traditions, its history, and its very way of being. O holy Crusaders! You will destroy the accursed Mohammedan sect; you will put an end to every kind of heretic and sect in the world, and you will be the downfall of all tyrants; you will bring silence and perpetual peace throughout the entire universe; you will make all men saints, whether by force or by choice. “O holy people, O blessed people of the Most Holy Trinity! The founding leader will be the great captain of holy people, called the Holy Crusaders of Jesus Christ. They will gain dominion over the entire world, both temporal and spiritual. These servants of God will purify the world through the death of an infinite number of rebels. The Leader and Founder of this militia will be the great Reformer of the Church of God».

2.19. Restraining My Son’s Arm

The Blessed Virgin: «The wickedness of the world is so great that I cannot restrain the arm of My Son, who has been outraged—especially by blasphemy, the desecration of holy days, impurity, the abandonment or neglect of prayer, and the forgetting of God. Because of so many crimes, and to help Me restrain My Son’s arm, My own people will have to suffer greatly».

2.20. Woe, woe!

Jesus: «Oh, how ungrateful you are! You offend Me ceaselessly, and I obtain forgiveness from My Father, but the time has now come when I can no longer grant you mercy. I mercifully give everyone enough light to know the great eternity, but penance repels them. Woe, woe! … to those who do not do penance».

2.21. Signs foretelling war

Jesus: «These will be the signs foretelling war: religious lukewarmness and the corruption of morals; vice regarded as virtue and virtue as vice; believers regarded as fools and unbelievers as enlightened. The disturbances in the Church are not over; a very great one will occur, though not a very long-lasting one, after which things will settle down. A time will come when faith in Me will decline to such an extent that few will preserve it. So great will be the persecution of the righteous by the wicked that the righteous will have to endure true martyrdom.
Things will reach a climax, but when the hand of man can do no more and all seems lost, I will intervene and set things right».

2.22. A King will reign with justice

Jesus: «Know that a King (the Great Monarch) will reign with justice, and his magistrates will rule with righteousness. And this man will be like a place of refuge to shelter from the wind and take cover from storms. And he will be like a stream of fresh water in times of drought, and like the shadow of a high cliff in the midst of a wasteland».

2.23. They will see that God is not insulted

Jesus: «Men have refused to accept a good and merciful God, and they will see how He will unleash upon them the wrath of a justly angered God; they will see that God is not insulted in vain, and they will recognize, albeit belatedly, that I am Omnipotent. Before peace comes to Spain, the lust for riches will lead men to deny the faith, and many ministers of the Church, carried away by carnal lust and by the beauty and lasciviousness of women, will abandon celibacy, and the devil will roam freely among them wherever he pleases».

2.24. Spain, blind nation

Our Lady: «My Son’s arm is so heavy that I alone can no longer support it. I want you to offer up all the good works you do so that you may help sustain the arm of my scorned Son.” Then Jesus continued: “Ah, Spain, Spain, blind nation, listen to the voice of the Lord who has destined you to carry out His great acts of justice within you; do you not see, deep within that dark atmosphere, a rainbow of peace, a dawn of joy? Cast aside your willful blindness; behold, He who will judge you will come one day not far off. Woe to you, wicked governor… Prepare yourselves, prepare yourselves; terrifying times are coming. Oh, how ungrateful men are! How little they honor Me! … Soon the crimson waves, with terrifying roars, will carry you to the ungodly wave that rests upon Spain, and My most ungrateful apostles are seated upon it…».

2.25. The Violation of the First Three Commandments

Jesus: «The earth is covered with crimes, and the violation of the first three Commandments of My Law has angered My Father; My Most Holy Name has been blasphemed, and Sunday has been profaned—these have filled the measure of iniquities. These sins have risen to My Father’s Throne, provoking His wrath, which will be poured out unless His Justice is appeased. Never before have crimes risen so high…».

2.26. Fire will fall, and there will be no dawn

Jesus: «During the punishment, there will be five days of communism, and in three days fire will fall, and there will be no dawn. Let no one leave their home during these three days, for confused people will begin to kill one another».

2.27. Earthquakes, famine, disease, Paris, Madrid…

Jesus: «There will be earthquakes, beginning abroad and then in Spain… Fire will destroy the crops… In the first year there will be famine, and many will be condemned. In the fourth year, harvests will begin, and things will gradually improve. The youngest children will die in their mothers’ arms. For the wicked who perform an act of repentance as they die, it will be of no use to them, for it will not be out of contrition but out of fear of punishment. A day will come when, with every step we take, we will find a dead body, and with the next step, another dead body, so that paths will be cleared with the corpses, just as they are cleared when there is snow. Paris will be reduced to ashes; Marseille will be swallowed by the sea; Catalonia bears a heavy burden; Madrid, Barcelona, San Sebastián, and Málaga bear the heaviest burdens… there will be a contagious disease from which many people will die… during the punishment, people will be very wicked and will forget God. Afterward, Christ will reign. There will be three great punishments and, in addition, three great miracles. Blessed is the one who dies during the first punishment».

2.28. San Sebastián

«Our Lady told me that the chastisement is upon us, for Jesus can wait no longer; that we should pray fervently for sinners, whose eyes are closed; that San Sebastián will be swallowed up by the sea; that we should pray and do penance abundantly, and that we should be courageous, for those who belong to Her will be severely persecuted».

2.29. The earth will be cruelly scourged

«Soon the earth will be cruelly scourged. This scourge will be felt throughout the world and will be so terrible that each of those who survive will imagine themselves to be the only one spared from the punishment. This punishment will be very brief, but terrible».

2.30. They will take over Spain

«This impious republic that reigns in Spain—whose emergence has been a sign of coming punishments—will soon be utterly ruined; moreover, even worse times are yet to come. The communists will take over Spain and drive the righteous out of the country, and while you, the righteous, are outside, I will cruelly punish all of Spain without fear of anything. You, the righteous, will have to flee to the deserts, but I declare to you that you will not suffer from hunger, for I will feed you. Later, in the deserts where you are, houses will be built and the area will be settled. There in the desert, you will meet the one who is to reign afterward (that is, the Great Monarch). After you have spent three and a half years in the desert, you may return to Spain, for by then the punishments will have passed. And it is at this time that the Reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus will come, but this reign will be an inner one».

2.31. Most of them will be martyred

Jesus: «After I reign inwardly, the Antichrist will come. During this time there will also be terrible punishments, and there will be a great persecution against the righteous, and most of them will be martyred. There will be many more martyrs than there have ever been, and heaven will be filled with palm branches».

2.32. The righteous will live another thousand years

«Then the Day of Judgment will come, and the righteous will live another thousand years… During this time, it will be impossible to sin, so it will be like a kind of Paradise on earth».

2.33. He will soon unleash His Divine Wrath

Our Lady: «Daughter, I want you to set people straight by telling them: I have not come down to Ezquioga to perform miracles, but to warn them that punishments are coming so that they may prepare themselves, for the Heavenly Father, justly angered, will soon unleash His divine wrath upon mankind. Oh, what a terrible day the day of the punishments will be! “Daughter, I have come down because I love them and no one listens to Me, but do not fear, My own—I will help you, though you will have to suffer greatly!»

2.34. Much war, much war…

Jesus: «Much war, much war. The Pyrenees have never known anything like it. The catastrophe has been promised to begin abroad, to warn the Spaniards. In these times, the priests will be the worst. The government has told them it will take away their churches, and this is what will incite them to revolt—a punishment for failing to fulfill their ministry. There are many who are eager to return to civilian life because, rather than fulfilling their duty, they concern themselves with politics, social circles, and meetings».

3. History of the Apparitions of Ezquioga

Beginning on June 30, 1931, and for three years, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to several children on the slope of a hill in Ezquioga—also known as Ezkío—near Zumárraga, Guipúzcoa, Spain. The first to see her were Antonia Bereciartu, age eleven, and her brother Andrés, age seven; later others joined them, until there were several dozen visionaries.

A multitude of the faithful flocked to the site; thus, by July 4, more than 500 people had gathered in the field with several priests to pray the Rosary, and in the following days the number rose to more than 40,000.

Soon, as was to be expected, there were those who were alarmed by these massive crowds: the irreligious and enemies of the supernatural, who sought to oppose these manifestations of religious faith, dismissing them as ridiculous, as trickery, and as the schemes of opportunists; and politicians of various stripes, because these events did not align with their interests; including Basque nationalists and the Republicans in the government.

The bishop was in exile in France due to his opposition to the Republican regime, and it is only natural that the gathering of such crowds would trouble the Republican government in Madrid; consequently, it began to place obstacles in the way of these events, to discredit and denigrate them by every means at its disposal, and to hold the ecclesiastical authorities responsible for encouraging these demonstrations, which appeared to be a confrontation against the Republicans who were persecuting religion by burning churches and religious houses.

Some time later, the authorities of the Curia of Vitoria condemned the apparitions. As is usually the case, they were ridiculed and anathematized, and were buried in the most utter “oblivion.”

The media (newspapers, magazines, newsletters) devoted themselves to spreading misinformation—as is often the case—by speaking of “fraud and trickery” and, naturally, concealed whatever did not interest them.

The head of the Spanish government, Manuel Azaña—a Freemason with deep-rooted communist ideology—believed that the events in Ezquioga could become another Catholic resurgence; for indeed, the Apparitions of Ezquioga speak eloquently of the needs of the Christian soul, of the existence of the supernatural life, and of communications between Heaven and earth—all of which the ruling regime denies and mocks. It was Azaña who, supporting the plans of the Masonic enemies of the Ezquioga apparitions, ordered that they be put to an end.

The enemies of the supernatural cast into disrepute and ridicule events that had many factors in their favor as evidence of their supernatural nature.

It did not matter that these decisions caused suffering to several honorable people, who were treated unjustly, or to innocent children, who were subjected to incredible and shameful coercion that violated the most basic human rights.

No commissions were appointed, no investigation was conducted, and the authorities did not act officially, as required by Canon Law to determine whether the events were true or a hoax; in short, an attempt was made to bury the truth—even if it were to resurface years later.

At the beginning of the Apparitions, the government in Madrid sent Spain’s most prestigious physician, Dr. Gregorio Marañón, to study the events in Ezquioga; after carefully observing them, he concluded:

“I have been dispassionately studying what is happening here, and I can affirm that we doctors have no business here, because the phenomena experienced by the visionaries do not fall within the realm of pathological science. They fall within the scope of other fields of study, which are beyond my expertise. Let those with the appropriate expertise come and see if they can understand them.”

Many other doctors also stated:

«Science could find no satisfactory explanation for these phenomena, since the ecstasies were supernatural and science could not explain them because they lay outside the realm of natural science».

Other interesting testimonies included that of Cardinal Federico Tedeschini, then Apostolic Nuncio to Spain, who said in 1932:

«According to the information I have, what is happening in Ezquioga comes from Heaven».

And the martyr Saint Manuel Irurita Almandoz, Bishop of Barcelona, said:

«Without being reckless, one cannot deny that there is something supernatural about what is happening in Ezquioga».

An illustrious priest from Gipuzkoa said:

«What cannot be doubted is that we are experiencing moments of magnificent sublimity, in which one does not know what to admire more: God’s loving favor, closer than ever to the wretched mortal (in the holy Apparitions of Ezquioga), or the incomprehensible human blindness determined to close its eyes to so much light».

3.1. The Visionaries

The number of visionaries was truly astonishing and unprecedented. About 25, of both sexes, were considered to have positive evidence of authenticity. At the end of the persecutions and deviations—most of them due to a lack of spiritual direction and the misuse of graces—they faltered, and only 4 or 5 authentic visionaries remained, along with several others whose status was uncertain.

Among the principal ones were: the children Andrés and Antonia Bereciartu, aged 9 and 12 respectively, who were the first visionaries.

Benita Aguirre of Legazpia, who was nine years old when it all began, is the one who perhaps received the greatest graces of revelation regarding the future; she was severely persecuted by the Church hierarchy, which even threatened her with excommunication and deprivation of the sacraments if she did not recant and deny the Apparitions.

Brother Cruz Lete of Ibasondo, who was twenty years old and died in the odor of sanctity in 1933 as a member of the Brothers of St. John of God. This Brother had visions and revelations, and people asked of him: «In the prime of his youth, who exchanged such a carefree life for an existence consecrated to the service of God?» He replied: «It was the Blessed Virgin when she appeared to him on the mountain of Ezquioga».

3.2. The accuracy of the prophecies…

All these visionaries experienced some extraordinary grace—visions, ecstasy, external stigmata, healings, and so on—as well as some prophecies that have already been fulfilled and many others that are yet to be realized…

3.3. Prophecy 1: Bishop Echeguren

Two of the most notable of these involved Vicar General Justo Antonino Echeguren y Aldama, who was one of the foremost opponents and, therefore, responsible for the failure of those early manifestations—which were neither heeded nor allowed to bear spiritual fruit. Well, two of the visionaries foretold his violent death, which occurred shortly thereafter, and they communicated this to him. Indeed, he died in a car accident while serving as bishop of Oviedo.

3.4. Prophecy 2: Bishop Mateo Múgica

It was prophesied to the Bishop of Vitoria “that he would die exiled from his episcopal see and completely alone.” This bishop, Mateo Múgica, was forced to resign from his diocese and died blind. It was he who published the most widely circulated attack on Ezquioga and decided—without a formal investigation, without sufficient evidence, and without hearing the visionaries—to attribute everything to the devil or to some other non-supernatural cause.

The persecution of Ezquioga began with political forces, continued with governmental ones, proceeded with religious ones, and ultimately involved all of them together.

4. Rosary of the Tears of Blood of Our Lady

(1) Opening Prayer:

“O Crucified Jesus, kneeling at Your feet, we offer You the Tears of Blood of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who accompanied You on Your path of suffering along the Way of the Cross with intense and heartfelt love. Grant, O Good Teacher, that we may appreciate the lessons taught by the Tears of Blood of Your Most Holy Mother, so that we may fulfill Your Holy Will here on earth and be worthy to praise You in Heaven for all eternity, amen.”

Seven Mysteries.

Let us contemplate the 7 Sorrows of Our Lady

• 1. A sword pierced Her Soul, as foretold by the prophecy of the elderly Simeon in the Temple.
• 2. The flight of the Holy Family to Egypt.
• 3. Our Lady loses Her Divine Son for three days.
• 4. The encounter with the scourged Jesus carrying His heavy cross on His shoulders.
• 5. The barbaric crucifixion and death of Her Divine Son.
• 6. The Blessed Virgin receives Her wounded Son, pierced by the lance, into Her arms.
• 7. The Blessed Virgin accompanies Her Divine Son to His burial.

(2) Instead of the Our Father, pray:

O Jesus, look upon the Tears of Blood of Your Blessed Mother who loved You most in this world and loves You most intensely in Heaven.

(3) Instead of the Hail Mary, pray 7 times:

O Jesus, hear our prayers, for the Tears of Blood of Your Holy Mother.

(4) At the end, repeat 3 times:

O Jesus, look upon the Tears of Blood of the Blessed Virgin Mary who loved You most in the world and loves You most intensely in Heaven.

(5) Closing Prayer:

O Mary, Mother of love, sorrow, and mercy, we implore You to join Your supplications to ours so that Your Divine Son, to whom we turn in the name of Your Maternal Tears of Blood, may hear our supplications and grant us the graces for which we implore You—the crown of eternal life. May Your Tears of Blood, O Sorrowful Mother, destroy the forces of hell. Through Your Divine Meekness, Jesus Crucified, preserve the world from the threat of perdition! Amen.
