From Father Tomislav Vlasic’s letter to the Pope dated 12/16/1983, where he relates the revelations he received from the Medjugorje visionary Mirjana Dragicevic: “…Before the visible sign that will be given to mankind, there will be three warnings to the world. The warnings will be events that will happen on earth. Mirjana will witness them…
After the warnings, there will come the visible sign at the place of the apparitions in Medjugorje, for all mankind. The sign will be given as a testimony of the apparitions and an invitation to faith…
After the first warning, the others will follow within a short time. Men will then have time to convert. This time is the period of grace and conversion. After the visible sign, those who remain alive will have little time for conversion. Therefore, Our Lady calls for urgent conversion and reconciliation. Early 1970s, Our Lady’s message to Maria Esperanza Bianchini, Bethany Venezuela: Our Lady in some of her messages makes it clear to Maria Esperanza that a time of warnings is coming upon humanity. Here is one such message:

Oct. 26, 1996, message of Jesus to Catalina Rivas, Bolivia: “…My children, […] the day is coming when the Son of Man will have to give you a warning about the bitterness of chastisement, in which every man will see his own judgment…”
Editor’s note: Among the most well-known prophecies in which a “Warning” and a “Great Miracle” are mentioned are those of Garabandal. Despite the notoriety of the Garabandal message, we have decided not to report these prophecies because the local bishops over the years have not recognized the authenticity of these apparitions (the Church, however, has never condemned them nor has any ban been imposed on the dissemination of the messages). The Cross in the sky
Nov. 21, 1912, message of Jesus to Mary Julia Jahenny, Blain, France: “…The sweet Cross will be the shelter of Christians…the Cross will be so bright that in broad daylight it will be brighter than the sun; in the night It will not be extinguished, it will stretch to an immense distance…. A red cloud and a rumble of thunder will go through the whole sky…because of the atonements offered to Me I will delay the disaster…”
1934, message of Jesus to St. Faustina Kowalska, Poland: “…Write this down: before I come as a just Judge, I come as the King of Mercy. Before the Day of Justice comes, this sign will be given to men in heaven: all light in heaven will be extinguished and there will be great darkness over all the earth. Then the sign of the Cross will appear in heaven and from the holes, where the Savior’s feet and hands were nailed, will come forth great lights that will illuminate the earth for some time. This will take place shortly before the last day…”
Sept. 11, 1987, account written by Brother David Lopez of Our Lady’s revelations he received in Medjugorje: “…Before the great tribulation there will be a sign. We will see in the sky a large red cross on a clear, cloudless day. The red color represents the blood of Jesus who redeemed us and the blood of God’s chosen martyrs in the days of darkness. This cross will be seen by all: Christians, pagans, atheists, etc., and also by all those who are “prepared” (there are people who even though they have never heard of the Gospel have the voice of God imprinted in the sanctuary of their consciences) who will be guided by God to Christ. They will receive the grace to interpret the meaning of the cross.”
April 1, 1994, message from Our Lady to Fr. Stefano Gobbi: “…The Luminous Cross, which will stretch from east to west and appear in the sky, will be the sign of Jesus’ return in glory… The Bright Cross, which will appear in the sky at the end of the purification and the great tribulation, will be the door that opens the long, dark tomb in which humanity lies, to lead it into the new kingdom of life, which Jesus will bring with his glorious return…”
12th century, prophecy of St. Hildegard: “…Christians will especially attempt armed resistance [against their persecutors], without feeling any concern for the death of their bodies.
